Description of Romance of the Three Kingdoms

Without a doubt, KOEI's flagship Romance of The Three Kingdoms games are some of the best and most original historical strategy games ever made. Based on the classic Chinese epic of the same name, choose to play as one of the warlords vying to unite the far-flung Chinese empire in the 10th century.

The first entrant in the RtK series strikes a near-perfect balance between historical flavor and fun, as they feature hundreds of real historical personalities, each with unique traits, and great diplomatic and espionage options. The tactical-level combat is not only fun, but truly reward those who take Sun Tzu's 'Ancient Art of War' tome to heart (among the most effective tactics are flanking your enemies from high ground, and luring them into an ambush). One of the game's keys to success is the introduction of intricate personnel management that adds a whole new dimension never before seen in a computer game. Recruiting and rewarding your most capable generals is as important to victory as slaying your opponent's most valued generals in combat (if you can't persuade him to your cause). You can also try to woo your opponents' generals to your side by bribery or personal visits, for which having a high charisma level is all-important.

Romance of The Three Kingdoms 1 also boasts numerous other gameplay options that wonderfully capture the culture and society of China at the time: for instance, the number of your population and morale level determines how big an army you can raise, and improved irrigation and donations to the public are prerequisites to high harvest yields and happy townsfolk. You must also contend with natural disasters such as flood, locusts, and plague that can come without warning.

@JIMMY: Whence you've downloaded the game, mount the game, CD to whatever you called the folder you put it in, then choose MAIN.EXE. Then, it will ask if you want it in colour mode. It will give you a choice of Y/N. Choose Y to make it go into colour mode. You're good.

This game works, but how do I make sure I have color when playing it? The game automatically shoves me into the old black and white mode, from this time period, instead of the much better VGA/SVGA graphics for this time period.
I also found that ROTK 3 was being tough to run, but maybe I screwed something up on my end.Maybe I need to have DOS Box that people have said on this site before.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms 11 download free. full Game also known asSangokushi 11 (三國志11), is the 11th installment in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms (Sangokushi) grand strategy game series by Koei. The game was released for the PC on March 17, 2006 in Japan. A Traditional Chinese version was released on July 27 in Taiwan.

A PlayStation 2 version was released on September 28, 2006 in Japan and on February 6, 2007 in North America. A Wii version was released on March 21, 2007 for the Japanese market at a premium price of ¥9,800. Romance of the Three Kingdoms 11 Free Download.

The premium version includes a walkthrough, a tactical map, four cards illustrated by Tsuyoshi Nagano, and an orchestra soundtrack CD. The Chinese version of the premium version includes a walkthrough and a map.

An official English version for the PC was announced on April 23, 2008, and was planned to be released in North America on July 29. However, the release date was delayed until September 9, 2008. There is an expansion pack for the PC version, but it was not included in the English version and is available only in Asian markets. This marked the Koei reintroduction of a PC version of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series for the English market which had not happened since November 30, 1995, with the American release of Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV: Wall of Fire.

Enhanced facilities and strategy including:

The power-up kit was sold separately for the Windows version, and standard for the Wii version.

IGN praised the length and depth of the game, saying it «packs literally hundreds of hours of play time on its single disc», but criticized the pace of the game, saying players will «have to endure an almost relentless level of tedium.» and «It will bore to tears most of the jump cut-addled, MTV-watching, Ritalin-popping masses due to a sometimes excruciatingly slow pace.»GameSpot had a similar view, «The strategy is complex and rewarding, but the menu shuffling and extremely slow pace won't earn the series any new fans.» Games Radar emphasised that Kingdoms XI would mainly appeal to fans of the series, «...addicts that have kept up with the series and crave more of its rare gameplay will eat it up.
