- Take revenge on the cartel: Need for Speed: Payback plays in the underworld of Fortune Valley. This has long been dominated by the cartel 'House'. The cartel has an impact on casinos, criminals and even the city's cops. After you and your crew were torn apart a few years ago, you now reunite to bring down the cartel and seek revenge on the “House”. In order to fulfill your mission, you must participate in fast-paced races and complete numerous challenges and events.
- Your crew: In Need for Speed: Payback, a whole new crew awaits you that has never been seen in any game of the series. Your crew consists of three members: Tyler, Jess and Mac.
